Dear Patient,
I hope this letter finds you well.
As you are likely aware, Associated Eye Care (AEC) continues to grow and evolve. We are excited to announce that we have expanded our outreach in the communities we serve with new offices in Lino Lakes, Minnesota, as well as Hudson and New Richmond, Wisconsin. Alongside these new offices, AEC will be adding more providers and more services to pursue our mission of providing “Vision for a Lifetime” for you and your family.
I am going to use this time of change as an opportunity to focus my clinical efforts on caring for patients with Dry Eye Disease. As my career has progressed, my skills, interest, and expertise in this area have continued to grow, thus allowing me to improve the vision and lives of many patients. As with most specialties in eyecare and medicine, there have been great technological and medical advancements in the field of Dry Eye Disease. In order to provide patients with the most up-to-date diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, I will need to focus my clinical efforts on Dry Eye Disease.
What does this mean to you? Starting in April 2023, I will spend the majority of my clinical time managing patients with Dry Eye Disease. This change will likely mean that most of the patients whom I have seen for many years who do not have Dry Eye Disease may be asked to have their care shifted to one of my colleagues within Associated Eye Care. Drs. Nicole Harris, Ethin Kiekhafer, Chi Na Moua, Ryan Fedor, and Sean LaVallie are all excellently trained and capable of providing the high level of care that you have come to expect from me, and I ask that you consider scheduling your next appointment with one of them. We have also developed a glaucoma team that includes Drs. Laura Capelle and Brian Tienor, who would be an excellent choice for those patients being treated or monitored closely for glaucoma. You can read their bios here.
If you currently have an appointment scheduled with me, we will not be changing this appointment.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 651-275-3000.
Thank you for allowing me to care for your vision.
Sincerely,
Jacob R. Lang OD, FAAO
