Woodbury Eye Care Clinic
Eye Doctor in Woodbury
Our new Woodbury facility is now open and home to both adult and pediatric eye care. Our eye care services include:

- LASIK – LASIK is a refractive surgery that reshapes your cornea using laser technology to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. This quick, virtually painless procedure typically takes less than 30 minutes and offers rapid vision improvement, often eliminating the need for glasses or contact lenses. Most patients experience improved vision within 24 hours.
- Cataract Surgery – Cataract surgery involves removing the clouded natural lens of your eye and replacing it with a clear artificial lens. Using minimally invasive techniques, this outpatient procedure takes about 15-20 minutes per eye. The artificial lens is permanent and designed to restore clear vision, often improving both distance and close-up sight depending on the lens chosen.
- Retina Care – Retina care encompasses diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the back of the eye. This includes management of diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal tears, and detachments. Treatment options range from medication and laser procedures to microsurgery, depending on your specific condition. Early intervention is crucial for preserving vision.
- Glaucoma Treatments – Glaucoma treatments focus on reducing intraocular pressure to prevent optic nerve damage. Treatment begins with prescription eye drops and may progress to laser procedures or minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. Regular monitoring is essential as glaucoma is often asymptomatic until significant damage has occurred. Our approach emphasizes early detection and personalized treatment plans.
- Eyelid Surgery – Eyelid surgery addresses both functional and cosmetic concerns. For drooping eyelids that obstruct vision, we perform blepharoplasty to remove excess tissue and restore proper field of vision. The procedure also addresses cosmetic concerns such as bags under the eyes or sagging eyelids. This outpatient procedure typically involves minimal downtime with significant improvement in both function and appearance.
- Cornea Treatments – Cornea treatments address conditions affecting the clear front surface of your eye. This includes management of keratoconus, corneal infections, and corneal scarring. Treatments range from specialized contact lenses and medications to corneal transplantation when necessary. The goal is to restore the cornea’s clarity and function for improved vision.
- Pediatric Eye Care – Pediatric eye care focuses on the unique visual needs of children. We assess visual acuity, eye alignment, and screen for conditions like amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus (crossed eyes). Early intervention is critical for proper visual development. Treatment may include corrective lenses, vision therapy, or in some cases, surgical intervention. Regular examinations are recommended throughout childhood.
