Candidacy

Routine exams are intended for patients with healthy eyes. Prescriptions for glasses and/or contact lenses may be updated at these visits. There are no age limits for routine exams. We have doctors who specialize in both pediatric and adult patients. Routine visits are not intended for the evaluation of new problems or for monitoring or management of known ocular medical problems.

Our Routine Eye Exams May Cover:

  • Annual eye check-ups for patients without medical problems of the eyes

  • Eyeglasses prescriptions

  • Contact lens exams

Routine exams can identify unknown conditions such as:

  • Cataract

  • Glaucoma

  • Macular Degeneration

  • Lazy eye

  • High blood pressure

  • Diabetes

  • Keratoconus

  • Certain types of cancer

When eye diseases are caught early on, they can often be treated quickly to ensure long term vision health. Additional time or testing may be required for further evaluation and management if eye disease is discovered during a routine eye exam, and if this occurs, your doctor will request that you return for a medical follow-up visit at a later date.

Optos Logo

Annual eye exams are vital to maintaining your vision and overall health. Associated Eye Care offers the optomap® as an important part of our eye exams. The optomap produces an image that is unique and provides our doctors with a high-resolution 200° image in order to ascertain the health of your retina. This is much wider than a traditional 45° image. Many eye problems can develop without you knowing, in fact, you may not even notice any change in your sight – fortunately, diseases or damage such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal tears or detachments, and other health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be seen with a thorough exam of the retina.

The inclusion of optomap as part of a comprehensive eye exam provides:

The optomap is fast, easy, and comfortable for anyone. The entire image process consists of you looking into the device one eye at a time. The optomap images are shown immediately on a computer screen so we can review it with you.

Schedule your optomap today – available in Hudson, Lino Lakes, and Woodbury!

For more information on the optomap please visit the optomap website.
